Hello, I'm Nathalie Chang

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Art Therapist in Vancouver, B.C. I have experience supporting adolescents and adults in secondary school and community settings with a range of challenges including:

I hold a Master's in Counselling Psychology Art Therapy and a Bachelor's in guidance counselling and social work. I'm interested in body-oriented approach to help individuals express and explore themselves intuitively.

Currently, I provide online and in-person sessions to populations aged from adolescents to older adults. 

Trauma-Informed, Body-Oriented & Strength-Based Approach 

I practice an integrative, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed approach, including Art Therapy, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, and Mindfulness practice. I am passionate about helping people who have experienced traumas of various kinds. I have extensive experience in working with survivors of violence and sexual assaults. 

Growing up in Taiwan and having experienced immigration myself, I personally understand the challenges of this process and it has led to me feeling passionate about helping immigrants. 

I support clients by cultivating self-compassion in them regarding their healing journeys. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to reconnect to their bodies, express emotions, and explore their lives.

Somatic Art Therapy Session

In sessions, I integrate mindfulness practices with art therapy. It provides individuals with an opportunity to connect to their bodies and process traumatic experiences and emotions non-verbally.

Expressive art activities allow individuals to visualize their life challenges, express their emotions, and explore themselves in a safe and non-judgmental manner.

Mindfulness & Art Therapy Workshop

I provide art therapy, yoga, and meditation workshops in the community. In mindfulness workshops, achieving excellence and flexibility in poses isn't our focus. Instead, various breathing techniques, meditations, and yoga poses will be introduced to assist you in finding inner peace and cultivating self-compassion.
